Rails developer, looking for a full-time role.
I'll be at SF Ruby Nov 10-11, come say hi. Or just email me and we'll find each other.
I'm a self-taught Ruby on Rails developer in Portland, Oregon. Over the past four-plus years I've designed, built, and run nearly a dozen production Rails apps, solo. I handle every migration, the DNS records, and the deploys.
I borrow a lot from 37signals: a single Rails monolith, Hotwire on the front end, and almost always SQLite. I deploy with Kamal, including to my own home server (a Beelink) through a Cloudflare tunnel.
Open to full-time roles, remote or in Portland.
A directory where Rails developers show the apps they have shipped, with that work verified. Members run a simple verification process themselves, so visitors know they're seeing real work, not fluff on a resume. Built as a place where people hiring Rails developers can find them.
Rails · Hotwire · SQLite
A community directory and showcase for people who use and contribute to Omarchy. Members get a page with their setups and contributions pulled from GitHub, verified against public sources and ranked by a public formula. Recently moved to a server in Nuremberg, Germany.
Rails · Hotwire · SQLite
Open-source double-entry bookkeeping for small businesses, built as my own alternative to Xero. Invoices with PDFs and recurring billing, bills, bank reconciliation from a SimpleFIN feed or CSV/OFX uploads with ranked one-click matches, Xero-style tracking categories, the standard reports, and a Xero import over the API. Rails 8 · SQLite · MIT license
A local dashboard for apps deployed with Kamal. Each app gets a card with its running version, health, and memory, plus Deploy, Roll back, and Logs buttons that each run one fixed, allowlisted Kamal or SSH command. Live deploy logs with secrets masked, server stats over read-only SSH, and your config stays plain Kamal. Source

Pinned on GitHub: Grateful Deploy, Home HQ, and Partita Doppia. I also contribute to the Omarchy ecosystem:
I co-host The Pingback Podcast with Greg Molnar. We talk about Ruby on Rails, building indie products, and the people doing it. Recent guests include Sam Ruby and Josef Strzibny.
Also a guest on Omarchy Stories, episode 009: "AI Coding: Are We Shipping Faster and Learning Less?"
Hiring a Rails developer? I'd love to hear what you're building.
